PETALING JAYA: Lee Ying Ying finally lifted her first senior title after 16 attempts when she emerged victorious at the Romanian International badminton championships on Sunday.

The 18-year-old took 58 minutes to carve out a hard-fought 17-21, 21-13, 21-9 victory over compatriot Lim Yin Fung at the Constantin Jude Sports Hall in Timisoara.
