KUALA LUMPUR: Back-up doubles shuttler Tan Wee Gieen’s role model is his elder brother and star player Tan Wee Kiong.

And on Sunday, the 20-year-old Wee Gieen showed he was on the right track to follow his brother’s footsteps when he nailed his first career title in the KL Open at Kuala Lumpur Badminton (KLBA) Stadium in Cheras.
