Yakeb working with UMMC to get best treatment for Saravanan

PETALING JAYA: Former national race walker G. Saravanan continues to receive support in his battle with a rare illness, with the National Athletes Welfare Foundation (Yakeb) now working to secure the best possible treatment for him through a collaboration with Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).

Yakeb chairman Datuk Ahmad Shapawi Ismail said the foundation is seeking to arrange a meeting with UMMC specialists, as Saravanan’s condition is uncommon and requires specialised medical expertise.
