CABLE theft is often dismissed as a property crime driven by the resale value of copper. In reality, it is a threat to public safety, economic productivity and the orderly functioning of Malaysian society.

When railway signalling, power supply or communication infrastructure is disrupted, the consequences extend far beyond the stolen cable. Commuters are delayed, businesses lose productive hours, and public confidence in essential services is undermined.
