Another fuel price increase: Govt needs to address rising cost pressures

THE latest 5sen increase in the price of unsubsidised RON95 to RM3.82 per litre, effective from Aug 27 to Sept 2, is another reminder that rising fuel costs continue to assert pressure on businesses and consumers. This is also the second consecutive week that unsubsidised RON95 has increased.

Obsreving that subsidised RON95 under BUDI95 remains at RM1.99 per litre for eligible Malaysians, the Government cannot overlook the wider impact of higher market fuel prices.
