MACC credibility crisis must be met with real reform


THE Institute for Strategic Analysis and Policy Research (INSAP) is gravely concerned by the deepening credibility crisis surrounding the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Recent reports have raised serious questions about the MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki’s shareholdings as well as the existence of a “corporate mafia” has reignited wider allegations that enforcement discretion can be perceived as compromised in corporate and market disputes.
