Artificial intelligence, the Fermi level, and human value

AS artificial intelligence (AI) becomes part of our everyday work lives, I believe more and more people are quietly wondering where they still fit in.

The issue is not that humans are becoming less capable. It is that capability itself is becoming common. Tasks that once required expertise – calculations, summaries, even structured writing – are now done instantly by machines.
