Winning war against sugar

MALAYSIA announced a new Nutri-Grade labelling system alongside an advertising ban on sweet beverages, outlining these measures as bold steps in the fight against rising obesity and diabetes in line with the country’s ‘war on sugar’ campaign.

This new Nutri-Grade label would implement a multi-grading system, labelling drinks with letter grades “A-D” based on their sugar content, guiding consumers towards healthier purchasing habits.
