Fostering national unity and patriotism through PLKN 3.0

MCA Youth welcomes the announcement by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin on the reintroduction of the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 3.0, which is set to commence in 2026. With 100,000 participants, including 70% from higher education institutions, this initiative represents a bold and timely step towards nurturing a stronger, more united Malaysia.

PLKN 3.0 is more than just a training programme; it is a nation-building endeavour with the potential to instil discipline, deepen patriotism and strengthen bonds among Malaysia’s diverse communities. At a time when national unity and shared identity are increasingly vital, this programme can shape a generation that truly embodies the spirit of Rakyat Malaysia, united by common values, mutual respect and shared aspirations.
