THE tragic death of the nine-year-old pupil after falling into an uncovered sewage pit at a school in Lenggeng, Negri Sembilan, has rightly raised serious questions about the standard of safety in Malaysian schools.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek must be commended for her immediate action in launching an investigation and promising strict action against anyone who failed to comply with safety standard operating procedures.
