Committed to supporting urban renewal initiative

THE Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) welcomes the government’s initiative to introduce the Urban Renewal Bill aimed at providing a structured and sustainable framework for rejuvenating our cities.

However, we have identified aspects of the Bill that should be strengthened or refined in order to ensure an urban renewal framework that is fair, transparent and capable of building better, more inclusive cities for all.
