Home environment shapes the character of children

I REFER to the report “14-year-old student nabbed for punching, threatening teacher” (The Star, July 30).

Schools and universities, once considered safe havens for learning and growth, are increasingly witnessing disruptive behaviours such as bullying, aggression and blatant disrespect. What is particularly troubling is that even educators are now becoming direct victims of such violence.
