Opportunities for the disabled in JS-SEZ

MALAYSIA and Singapore formalised the establishment of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone agreement, which aims to promote economic cooperation for both nations, on Jan 7. This bilateral cooperation is expected to boost economic capacities and potentials, attract significant investments and ensure the smooth flow of labour and goods between the two countries.

As a Malaysian who lives in Johor, I am very interested in and excited about the endeavour. In fact, as a Malaysian who identifies himself as part of the disabled community, I believe the JS-SEZ is a golden opportunity for both the Federal Government and Johor government that should be fully exploited to enhance the development of disabled Malaysians.
