Four-day week is not feasible

THE government should be cautious when considering the four-day work week proposal, “Let’s have a three-day weekend”, (The Star, June 21; online at https://bit.ly/3QRJYqK).

The proposal was mooted by Johor state assemblyman Rashidah Ismail (BN – Pasir Raja), who says that since the rest days are different for civil servants, private sector workers and schoolchildren, families cannot have quality time together.
