THE Malaysian Athletics Federation (MAF) was a much admired and respected national sports association in the 1960s and 1970s in Asian athletics.
It was known for producing top-rated athletes such as Tan Sri Dr M. Jegathesan, Datuk M. Rajamani, Datuk Nashtar Singh, Datuk Thambu Krishnan and Ishtiaq Mubarak, who were the pride of our track and field teams.
