Neglected aspect of care

RECENTLY, a member of my family, a doctor assigned to a Covid-19 intensive care unit (ICU), told me she never imagined the pandemic situation would come to this.

“We are at a time when we have to choose which Covid-19 patients will get the ICU beds because resources are limited. Each bed needs one-on-one care. Selection is based on who has a better chance of survival.”
