Proposals to enhance effectiveness of police force 


INSPECTOR General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail disclosed yesterday during the 219th Police Day celebration at Pulapol Kuala Lumpur that Malaysia has seen a 6.4% drop in its index crime due to an increase in security operations nationwide, “Malaysia sees 6.4% drop in index crime due to increased security” (The Star, March 26).

While it is encouraging to see a drop in our index crime rate, efforts must be intensified to further bring it down.
