Student welfare a priority

DELTA Pride, the company that constructed and manages the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) hostels would like to respond to false accusations made by several TAR UC students.

1. In 1997, when the then TAR College was expanding, the college signed an agreement with a private developer to build 10 blocks of affordable accommodation/hostels for students through the build, operate and transfer (BOT) model. This model allows the developer to collect rental for 30 years as payment for the RM15.75mil building fees and the expenses of managing the hostels for that time period.
