ALL the eight species of pangolins across the continents of Africa and Asia are showing alarming signs of dwindling populations due to a variety of anthropogenic and other factors.
The International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has declared four of the eight species as vulnerable, two as endangered and the remaining two as critically endangered. This clearly demonstrates how vulnerable the pangolin as a wildlife species is.
