Independence on a personal level

AS August heads towards its end, I’m sure most Malaysians are in a National Day, or Merdeka, mood.

I wish shopping malls, shops and hotels would add to the vibe of this month with decorations and inspiring reminders of who we are as Malaysians just as they do to celebrate the big festivals of Hari Raya, Deepavali, Christmas and Chinese New Year.
