WITH January 2026 just a few months away, our nation’s most ambitious tourism campaign, Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026), is at a critical juncture. Launched with great flair in January this year, the campaign introduced two charming mascots, Wira and Manja, inspired by the endangered Malayan sun bear.
Yet, nine months later, many Malaysians, including myself, struggle to name them, let alone explain their significance.
