QuickCheck: Is Phase 4 of the Rahmah cash aid being paid out on Oct 30?

A POSTER claiming that Phase 4 of the Rahmah cash aid will be paid out on Oct 30 has been making the rounds online.

The poster lists payment rates for different groups of recipients, along with how the money will be paid.

So, is Phase 4 of the Rahmah cash aid being paid out on Oct 30?

Verdict:

FALSE

No, the Finance Ministry has confirmed that the poster on the Rahmah Cash Contribution (Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah or STR) Phase 4 payment schedule is fake.

"The public is advised not to believe or spread the poster on the STR Phase 4 payment schedule on Oct 30, as the information is false.

"The Finance Ministry would like to stress that there has been no official announcement on the STR Phase 4 payment as claimed in the poster," said the Ministry in a Facebook post.

The fake poster, which carries an "October 2026 Phase 4" label, claims payments would be made on Friday, Oct 30.

It lists rates of RM650 for B40 households earning RM2,500 and below, senior citizens without a spouse and persons with disabilities, and RM150 for single recipients.

M40 households earning between RM2,501 and RM5,000 would supposedly receive RM350, according to the poster.

The poster also claims that payments would be made through direct bank credit or cash withdrawals at Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branches, with notifications sent via SMS.

"The public is advised to always obtain accurate information through the Finance Ministry's official channels before sharing, to avoid spreading false information that can mislead the public," it said.
