SMOKING is hazardous, and according to a recent viral video, it could even lead to fistfights.

The alleged incident is said to have taken place at a nasi kandar restaurant in Kuala Langat, Selangor.

It was said to have started with a man reprimanding another for smoking.

Did it really happen?

Kuala Langat District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi said the police received a report on the incident, which happened in Bandar Rimbayu, Telok Panglima Garang, at about 2.07am from a local man.

“Initial investigations found that a disagreement broke out between the two parties after one of them was reprimanded for smoking in the area.

“The situation then escalated into a fight when both parties began assaulting each other,” he said in a statement on Sunday (April 19), reported Sinar Harian.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 160 of the Penal Code.

“Members of the public with information about the incident are urged to come forward to assist in the investigation by contacting the nearest police station or the Kuala Langat District Police Headquarters Operations Room,” he said.
