A VIRAL video on social media showed a dramatic incident during what appeared to be a military parachute jump demonstration at Pantai Klebang in Melaka on Sunday (Dec 28).
The footage captured a parachute descending rapidly before the jumper hit the ground hard in the landing area, prompting concerns about the safety of the soldier involved.

A military member from the Special Warfare Training Centre (Pulpak), Kem Sungai Udang, suffered broken ribs on the right side and neck injuries after falling whilst performing a parachute jump at Pantai Klebang in Melaka on Sunday (Dec 28).
The viral video on social media showed the parachute operated by the assistant instructor descending rapidly before crashing in the landing area.
The incident occurred during the 60th Diamond Jubilee Celebration of the Special Forces Regiment (GGK) taking place at Encore Melaka, which began on Dec 27 and is scheduled to end on Wednesday (Dec 31).
Following the incident, the victim is understood to be receiving treatment at Melaka Hospital.
A visitor who witnessed the incident said it occurred around 6.30pm whilst the free-fall demonstration was taking place.
According to the witness, the member appeared to be experiencing difficulties whilst in the air before landing rapidly and crashing.
The victim was subsequently assisted by personnel on duty before being taken from the location using a military ambulance.
