A DRAMATIC video showing two jet skis colliding on Sungai Melaka went viral on Thursday (Nov 27) morning, with viewers expressing shock at what appeared to be a serious accident. The two-minute 56-second clip showed one rider falling into the water and lying motionless after the collision, prompting concerns about safety on the river.

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit said preliminary check confirmed that an accident involving a jetski occurred during the filming of a stunt in Sungai Melaka on Wednesday (November 26).
"The stuntman involved has been reported to be safe and in a stable condition," said ACP Christopher.
"Members of the public are advised not to speculate, distort facts or spread unverified information as such actions can lead to confusion and public anxiety," he said in a statement on Thursday (November 27).
In a separate statement, the Melaka River and Beach Development Corporation (PPSPM) said that the filming, scheduled from Nov 26 to Nov 28, had been arranged in advance.
PPSPM stated that the production involved trained stuntmen and that precautionary measures were taken before filming commenced.
"All relevant authorities were informed of the production and an ambulance was placed on standby at the location throughout the shoot.
"We hope the public will refrain from circulating unnecessary speculation or false news," the statement added.
On Thursday, a video lasting two minutes and 56 seconds went viral showing an incident where two jet skis collided, causing one of the riders to fall into the water.
The man was seen in an unconscious state before being helped by several other individuals who brought him up and laid him down in an open area.
