A VIRAL video has emerged showing an unusual scene on the North South Expressway.

The clip, now widely shared on social media, depicts three cars allegedly bringing traffic to a halt.

Is it true that this incident occurred near the southbound Pedas-Linggi R&R?

Police are investigating an incident where the drivers of three cars allegedly blocked traffic to a standstill along the Senawang-Ayer Keroh stretch of the North South Expressway.

Rembau OCPD Superintendent Hasani@Hashim Hussin said the incident occurred near the southbound Pedas-Linggi R&R.

A 28-second clip of the incident has gone viral on social media.

"The police take this matter seriously as it involves the safety of road users, especially along an expressway. Disrupting traffic flow is not only an offence but can potentially lead to fatal road accidents," said Superintendent Hasani.

The matter is being investigated under Section 279 of the Penal Code for reckless driving, Section 341 for obstructing traffic, and Section 48 of the Road Transport Act for parking or leaving a vehicle in a manner likely to cause undue inconvenience to other road users.

He urged eyewitnesses to contact investigating officer Inspector Noor Fathiah Ak'Dilah Ishak at 019 799 2519 to assist in investigations.
