VEHICLES bursting into flames while on the road are not common sights and will definitely catch the eye of passing motorists.
One video making the rounds on social media claims to show a lorry bursting into flames with the driver and his attendant trying to battle the flames.
Is it true that a lorry caught fire while travelling on a road in Johor?

Johor Jaya Fire and Rescue station operations commander Senior Fire Supt 2 Saiful Bahri Mahpop confirmed the incident to Sinar Harian, telling the Malay language daily that the department had received a call about the incident at 9.21am on Thursday (April 24).
He said that a lorry transporting a load of sand had caught fire while in motion on Jalan Sungai Tiram in Johor Baru.
Saiful Bahri told Sinar Harian that upon receiving the call, a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle and an Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) unit, along with nine firefighters, were dispatched to the scene, located 27km away from the station.
"Upon arriving at the scene at 9:45am, a type lorry was found to be in flames, with the fire concentrated in the battery compartment and wiring area.
"The incident occurred while the vehicle was in motion and resulted in 1% damage to the lorry.
"However, the fire was extinguished by the lorry driver and members of the public using four fire extinguishers before the fire brigade arrived," he said.
Firefighters on site then conducted monitoring to ensure the situation was fully under control. The operation concluded at 10:10am.
