QuickCheck: Did the company that makes the most tyres also release a music album?

The process of vulcanising, or hardening, rubber was discovered in 1839 and perfected in 1844. Before long, the first tyres were made. First, they were solid rubber, and then they were filled with air.

Now, these engineering marvels are everywhere and are an essential component of any road vehicle.

However, is it true that you've never seen tyres made by the world's largest tyre manufacturer on the roads and that this same company produced an album that you can sleep to?

Verdict:

TRUE

In 2011, the Guinness Book of Records acknowledged that The Lego Group made more tyres than all other tyre manufacturers worldwide. In 2021, it released an album called White Noise, featuring the sounds of its most iconic product.

Each of the eight tracks in White Noise is made with Lego bricks. Each track is unique and about a half hour long. One sounds like a never-ending waterfall of plastic bricks, another like someone looking for that one piece in a pile of plastic bricks, and another sounds like someone building a Lego set, complete with the sounds of the pages of an instruction book being turned.

In 2023, the company released an uplifting single for one of their campaigns called We Got This and a relaxing lo-fi album called Lego Rhythm & Bricks.

Although the company’s world record had been recategorised as the largest annual volume toy tyre manufacturer, they still hold the record today.
