SINGER Anuar Zain's fame is widespread – he began his career as a child in 1983 and the 54-year-old crooner has a string of chart-toppers with his 40 years in the music industry.

It is because of his fame that Anuar's fans have become the latest target of scammers.

So is it true that there are unscrupulous people on social media pretending to be Anuar to con unsuspecting victims?

According to an Instagram post by the singer's management team, Anuar's fans have been warned against scammers impersonating him on social media.

In an Instagram story posted on the @anuarzainnetwork and @anuarzain70 accounts, fans are urged to report any suspicious activity, particularly individuals pretending to be him to the relevant authorities.

He also advised those who have fallen victim to report the scammers.

Anuar also shared some screenshots of conversations between the scammers and their victims.

The Anuar management team also said that listed the singer's official social media accounts, namely @anuarzainnetwork on Facebook, @anuarzainnetwork and @anuarzain70 on Instagram, @anuarzainnetwork on TikTok, and on Telegram at https://t.me/anuarzainnetwork.
