LATELY there have been a lot of stories of attractive government aid circulating on social media catching the eye of the public.
Such advertisements on various types of government aid are always getting the attention of the public as evident in their responses on social media, enquiring more about aid provided to help ease their burdens. However, many of these programmes seem dubious at best.
Is it true that there is one central site now where you can check the veracity of a government aid programme?

The Finance Ministry on its official YouTube channel has warned the public to not be deceived into these false advertisements with the intention to eventually cheat them.
In a statement, the ministry advised the public to make sure they check the validity of any advertisement posted online offering government aid, before becoming gullible in hopes to receive the aid.
The ministry sent a link out to the public at: https://manfaat.mof.gov.my/ where users can check for valid government aid programmes offered with more trusted information.
Beware of such scams, do not be easily deceived. Better safe than sorry.
