According to a viral claim on social media recently, a group of photo touts near the PETRONAS Twin Towers assaulted a tourist and two others who came to their aid.
Did this really happen?

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Sazalee Adam said 18 men were arrested for allegedly assaulting two men at the PETRONAS Twin Towers on Sunday (March 22).
He said in the 9pm incident, the victims confronted a group who were beating up a tourist.
"The group warned the victims not to interfere but one of the victims was suddenly attacked from behind by an individual with a knife, injuring his head.
"The victim was punched several times by others believed to be photo touts, before the situation turned chaotic and more joined in and attacked the victims," he said in a statement on Friday (March 27).
ACP Sazalee said police arrested 18 suspects aged from 17 to 45 years old from the area the following night.
"Those detained admitted they were working as photo touts.
"Two suspects were identified by witnesses and the case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code," he said.
He added that the two victims, who are drink vendors, were attempting to break up the fight involving the tourist when they were attacked.
