However, it is important that fireworks are let off responsibly to ensure the safety of those around.
Recently, a video went viral on social media showing a man recklessly letting off fireworks while riding a motorcycle.
Captions and comments on the viral video indicated that the incident happened along Jalan Johor Bahru-Seremban recently.

Segamat deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Nantha Muniandy confirmed the incident, saying that a suspect had been arrested in Segamat on Wednesday (March 27).
"Initial investigations showed that the incident occurred at about 3am on Saturday (March 21) at KM185 of Jalan Johor Baru-Seremban.
"The suspect has a previous criminal offence and a urine test for drugs returned negative," DSP Nantha said.
He added that investigations are being carried out under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act and Section 286 of the Penal Code.
"Under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act, the suspect faces up to five years in jail and a fine of not less than RM5,000 and not more than RM15,000 if found guilty.
"Under Section 286 of the Penal Code, the suspect can be fined not more than RM2,000, jailed for up to six months, or both," he said.
He added that the police took a serious view of any actions that could endanger road users and were committed to taking stern action against anyone who broke the law.
