QuickCheck: Was a body found in a drain in Kelantan?

MAINTENANCE workers are likely to find many things in the course of their duties and some of these finds can be downright disturbing.

Recently, two maintenance workers stumbled across a body in a 1m deep drain while working.

Is it true that the two found the body while cutting grass along the roadside in Kelantan?

Two maintenance workers assigned to cut grass along the road in Kampung Seribong, Kota Baru, Kelantan, found the clothed body of the man at about 11.30am on Sunday (Feb 4), mStar reported.

Muhamad Musaha, 35, who discovered the body, alerted his co-worker immediately.

"Initially, we thought the victim had only passed out but when we realised he was not moving, we called the authorities," he said.

He said this was the first time he had made such a discovery.

Kota Baru OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Rosdi Daud confirmed receiving a report on the workers' find.

He told mStar that the body had been brought to Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II for a post-mortem and identification.
