AN ONLINE form offering financial aid is being circulated on social media, purportedly from the Social Welfare Department.
With the title "Borang A – Bantuan Kewangan Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat" (Form A – Social Welfare Department Financial Aid), it requires applicants to fill in their personal particulars in order to receive financial assistance.
Is the department really offering aid through this form?

In a recent Facebook post, the department stated that the form was fake.
It urged the public to only rely on its official portal for information about aid programmes.
"The department would like to inform the people that the Google form going viral on social media is fake.
"The public is advised to get accurate information about assistance on the department's official portal only.
"Please visit www.jkm.gov.my for more information," it said.
