A video has been circulating on social media purporting to show the process of recovering a body from Mount Everest.

It is further claimed that the body is that of 56-year-old Lt Col Awang Askandar Ampuan Yaacub, the Kedah Civil Defence Force director who passed away on Friday (May 19).
