The Gombak Disaster Management Committee denied that a landslide occurred as claimed in the viral message. Checks by the police and the Fire and Rescue Department found no landslide in the area.

"The message is fake. The public is urged to not spread unverified information and to contact the relevant agencies if a disaster like a landslide occurs in their area," said the committee.
