The Labour Department of Peninsular Malaysia’s director-general Asri Ab Rahman has confirmed that the memo is fake.

“Yes, the memo is fake, and we do not know how it got circulated. We don’t even know the motive behind this,” he told The Star on Tuesday (May 10).

Asri added that an official statement would be issued to clarify the matter.
