MICROWAVE ovens shoot rays into food to cook it from the inside out.
Is this true?

FALSE
Microwave ovens do not cook food from the inside out.
At room temperature, the 2.45 GHz microwaves the oven emits can only penetrate approximately 1cm into most foods.
The inside portions of thicker foods are mainly heated by heat conducted from the outer portions radiating inwards.
Another myth would be that food looses its nutritive value if it's cooked in a microwave.
This too, is false. If anything, food retain more nutrition if cooked in a microwave as cooking times are faster.
