Police: Not true that child sodomised by disabled man in Pantai Dalam, KL

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Police have denied a report by a local news portal that a boy, 12, was sodomised by a disabled (OKU) man on Sunday (Sept 23).

Brickfields district police deputy chief Supt Arifai Tarawe said the boy had actually fallen down the stairs from the 20th to the 19th floor at the Kondo Rakyat Flats, Pantai Dalam, Kuala Lumpur on Sept 12.

“The report was not correct. There was an incident of a child falling from the 20th-floor stairs to the 19th floor at Kondo Rakyat.

"(He was) not sodomised and thrown over by a disabled person suffering mental problems.

“However, investigations are still being conducted with the victim's statement recorded because, at present, the medical officer treating him at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre has advised him to rest,” he said when contacted here on Monday (Sept 24).

On Sunday, a local news portal reported that a boy did not sit for his Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) after he was sodomised and thrown down a flight of stairs at the apartment block in Pantai Dalam.

The report quoted a statement by Komuniti Harmoni Kita (KHK) activist Fazrysham Kamran who contacted the victim's family, saying that the mental patient, aged 34, had an OKU card.

According to the portal report, the victim was supposedly forced to watch pornographic video clips on the suspect's handphone.

He was then allegedly asked to perform the same actions. - Bernama
