Myanmar seeks investments to make Covid-19 medical equipment at idle factories

MYANMAR, April 29 (Eleven Media Group/ANN): New investments have been invited to produce medicines and medical equipment necessary to combat Covid-19 at idle state-owned factories, said Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Thaung Tun.

As Myanmar purchases medicines and medical equipment from international market, plans have also been made to buy personal protective equipment (PPE) and face masks from local manufacturers, the minister commented in his news article “The Measure of a Nation: Myanmar’s “Whole- of-Nation Approach” to Combating Covid-19” published in state-owned newspapers.
