MANILA: The lockdown imposed since mid-March to stop the spread of the Covid-19 (coronavirus) outbreak has displaced over two million workers in the Philippines, the Philippine government data showed.
"Reports from Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) regional offices showed a continued swelling of the number of displaced workers," the country's Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello said in a statement over the weekend.
