YANGON (Xinhua): Myanmar's estimated population has increased by 130,000 to 54.58 million in three months since latest statistics early this year, said a release from the Information Ministry on Thursday (April 2).

On Wednesday, the estimated population in Yangon region reached 8.39 million, followed by Mandalay region with 6.54 million and Shan state with 6.43 million, listed as top three regions and state with most population, the Information Ministry quoted population department's figures as saying.
