LONDON/BEIJING: Bill Winters (pic), group chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), said he has firm confidence in the resilience of the Chinese economy despite the Covid-19 (coronavirus) outbreak and the bank remains unwavering in investing in China's increasingly open capital markets.
"China is the global growth engine, although its economic growth may be impacted in the early part of this year, we expect it to recover back to normal level very quickly," he told Xinhua via email.
