VIENTIANE: Laos officials have vowed to continue to fully support China's fight against Covid-19 and learn from China's experiences in preventing the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.

Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong met with the Lao People's Revolutionary Party politburo member and Vientiane mayor Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, and Deputy Minister of Public Security Kongthong Phongvichit, and talked with Laos Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith by telephone from Wednesday to Friday, thanking the Laos side for hosting the Special Asean-China Foreign Ministers' Meeting on Coronavirus Disease and the fifth Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Vientiane on Feb 20.
