Flood causes Myanmar to move 4,000

YANGON: Myanmar was evacuating parts of a city after mudslides wiped away hundreds of houses and torrential rain threatened further damage in the worst floods to hit the country in decades.

The government in Hakha, northwest Myanmar, moved nearly 4,000 people to safety yesterday after landslides caused by rains destroyed 375 houses, Chin Finance Minister Nan Zamon said.
