PETALING JAYA: The Air Pollutant Index (API) reading for 40 areas nationwide remains at an unhealthy level as of 10am Wednesday (Sept 16).
Johan Setia in Selangor, which had an API reading of 189 on Tuesday (Sept 15), remains the area with the highest reading today, at 187.
According to the Environment Department's Air Pollutant Index Management System (Apims), other locations in the Klang Valley with unhealthy readings include Cheras (179), Putrajaya (176), Shah Alam (175), Petaling Jaya (168) and Kuala Selangor (164).
Unhealthy API readings range between 101 and 200.
In Negri Sembilan, Nilai recorded an API reading of 177, Seremban 174, and Port Dickson 159.
Other areas with unhealthy readings include Minden, Penang (167); Seri Manjung, Perak (166); Kuala Terengganu (164); Tasek, Ipoh (163); Bukit Rambai, Melaka (163); Temerloh, Pahang (162); Taiping, Perak (159); and Sungai Petani, Kedah (157).
