Cops probe 15-year-old girl's death after fall from apartment


PUTRAJAYA: Police are investigating the death of a 15-year-old girl who was found on the ground of an apartment in Precinct 5 here after she was believed to have fallen from a high floor of the building, Putrajaya District Police Chief ACP Aidi Sham Mohamed said on Sunday (Sept 13).

He said police received a call about the incident at 10.33pm yesterday and the girl was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical officer from Putrajaya Hospital.

"The victim lived with her family on the ninth floor of the apartment,” he said when contacted by Bernama.

An autopsy will be conducted today, while the case has been classified as sudden death pending further investigation.

"The cause of the incident is still under investigation,” he said. - Bernama
