Mother, two sons killed in Kluang house fire


KLUANG: A woman and her two sons were killed after their double-storey house was engulfed in a fire here.

Kluang Fire and Rescue Department station chief Mohd Fauzi Md Nor said they received an emergency call about the fire that broke out at Jalan Satria 7/5, Taman Titiwangsa, at around 10.44pm on Wednesday (Sept 9).

"Some 14 firefighters were deployed to the scene and upon arrival, they found that the double-storey house was already about 50% engulfed in flames.

"The three victims were trapped inside the house and were later pronounced dead by medical personnel at the scene," he said in a statement on Thursday (Sept 10).

He said the victims were identified as Noraini Ibrahim, 49, and her two sons, Khairul Nurhaziqq Khairulnizam, 18, and Khairul Nurhadiff Khairulnizam, 11.
