77 undocumented foreigners detained in Nilai Industrial Area raid


SEREMBAN: Immigration has detained 77 undocumented foreigners in a raid at the Nilai Industrial Area here.

State director Mohd Razip Yasin said the operation was carried out at two premises between 10am and 1pm on Wednesday (Sept 9).

"A total of 326 foreigners were screened during the operation and 77 were found to have committed Immigration-related offences.

"Of those detained, 65 were men, 11 women and a child aged between 17 and 50," he said in a statement.

Mohd Razip said of the 77, 39 were Bangladeshis, Myanmar nationals (29), Indians (six), Nepalis (two) and an Indonesian.

The foreigners were later sent to the Immigration depot in Lenggeng for further investigations.

"I would like to urge the public to report to us if they have information on the presence of undocumented foreigners," he sad

Mohd Razip also warned anyone who harboured or employed undocumented foreigners that stern action will be taken against them if they are caught.
