PETALING JAYA: A drug processing and packaging syndicate has been smashed with the arrest of nine suspected members.
Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) director Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan told a press conference in Sungai Buloh on Wednesday (Sept 9) that the suspects, aged 19 to 33, were detained in a series of raids in the Klang Valley.
Among the drugs seized in the Aug 21 operation were 61.26kg of MDMA liquid and 3.25kg of methamphetamine.
Investigations found that the group would mix drugs with vape liquids before sending them to customers via courier.
"In total, the drugs seized are valued at RM10.82mil," he said, adding that the group has been active since April.
"Four of the arrested suspects tested positive for THC while another tested positive for ketamine.
"Two of them have police records."
He added that a further RM356,744 in assets were also seized as part of the investigation, including three cars.
